Sudocrem on spots is a-maaazing.

I get at least one awful spot on my chin when I'm due on and have spent a fortune on spot lotions and potions recently. I was putting Sudocrem on DS last night (he's got a rash on his legs) and thought I'd try a bit on a spot that started yesterday. Woke up this morning and it's more or less gone! It's dried it right up, and taken the redness out of it.

Everyone probably knows this already and has been laughing at me spending pennies on Clearasil etc. but just thought I'd mention it anyway!

yes but it's a bit pongy

JustMyTwoPenceWorth · 27/04/2010 20:12

yup. It's the bees knees.

Also fab on rashes and sore spots.

Yes I've discovered using it on spots too - it gets rid of them so quickly. How it took me until DS was 20 months to realise this i'll never know. It's good on sunburnt skin too.

MrsMeow · 27/04/2010 20:14

It does pong. And you dont look very sexy getting into bed with a white chin either!

It doesn't seem to be doing loads for DS' legs, but I remember it working a treat on the childrens nappy rash. I just can't believe it's taken me nearly 10 years to try it!

pointydog · 27/04/2010 20:30

will tell dd1 so she stops bugging me about her spots

lolabug · 27/04/2010 21:25

ok, after reading this thread, I am now sat in bed with gobs of sudocrem on face. Am awaiting DH to come and discover what a beauty he is going to bed with tonight...

frasersmummy · 27/04/2010 21:26

its great for all sorts, cuts grazes, spots, dry skin

dont know how I ever managed without it

happygolovely · 27/04/2010 21:32

Right digging out the suducreme and going to cover forehead and see what oh says lol.

MrsMeow · 27/04/2010 22:55

Luckily my DH is away tonight so I have dipped my whole head in the tub plastered my chin and a rogue forehead spot.

I've also fake tanned so I smell rather delicious I must say

Must admit, after lol from DH i've woken this morning to only half the spot of last night..impressed MrsMeow....!

MrsMeow · 28/04/2010 10:09

It's good stuff isn't it? I just wish I'd realised it much earlier when I had awful spots from having the Mirena!

I just came back to this thread as I literally just saw on the telly an advert for sudocrem in a tube and the woman puts it on her spots!

BallpointPen · 03/05/2010 17:55

Sudocrem on shopping list for tomorrow.

Thanks MrsMeow.

Peaceflower · 03/05/2010 18:09

Going to get some for dd tomorrow. Fingers crossed it works and doesn't set off her eczema.

brockleybelle · 03/05/2010 18:17

I actually love the smell of sudocrem - reminds me of lavender.

Never tried it on spots, and as I'm a bit of a spotty maldoon will give it a go. Thanks!

FrazzleRock · 03/05/2010 18:19

Toothpaste is faaaaaaaar better.
Try it tonight
Spots will be gone by morning

teddymummy · 03/05/2010 18:23

My beautician recommends it after waxing too!

MooMinCow · 03/05/2010 18:31

I like the smell too... can't go into DD room without opening the jar and having a sniff...

MayorNaze · 03/05/2010 18:40

Hemp oil is great for spots and acne

Chillywilly93 · 27/10/2019 20:34

I second the hemp oil shout, CBD along with cod liver oil is what cured me up. I used sudocrem only when the spot gets a bit crusty (sorry for the TMI) but these days I don't apply anything topically because I think it just clogs pores and not much else.

Fish oil I used (taking 3 of the 1 a day pills per day) - www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/holland-barrett-cod-liver-oil-1000mg-softgel-capsules-60019016

CBD paste I used (pea sized dollop morning and night, added benefit is I sleep much better now!) - cbdiablo.co.uk/product/el-tenedor-del-diablo-raw-cbd-paste-1000mg/

dontgobaconmyheart · 28/10/2019 02:08

Sounds daft but what are people actually doing with the sudocrem...are you dabbling it on spots, rubbing it into them, rubbing it into patches of skin or something else?

I just find it makes them worse and suspect it causes new ones to boot. Very jealous that my skin won't play ball as sudocrem is cheap as chips.

As an aside I love those little acne patch plasters that you stick on spots overnight. They're brilliant actually and have the added benefit of stopping picking or touching (if you're prone to that)
