What do you think of this dress for a ball and then also for a wedding?

this dress

I love it, but it's expensive so I'm dithering. what do others think?

I have high black peep toe shoes, and for the wedding I have a cropped black cardi and black corsage I could wear with it.

Wow, I love it.

Does it come with a net petticoat to make it stick out like that?

BridesheadRegardless · 27/04/2010 15:00

You have to buy a petticoat separately, which makes it more expensive! But I do love it.

i love the spotty ones too, and I don't usually like leopard print but in this style I just LOVE it.

I did wonder though if the leopard print was a bit trashy? i think the spotty ones can look a bit too 50's high school fancy dress and was hoping the leopard was a bit more 50's cocktail sophisticated??

I love it. You could also wear red shoes and a red waist belt with it.

I was thinking of getting a Vivien of Holloway one but someone on here told me about whirling turban and now I love this one.

love it esp the leopard print - you'll look and feel stunning!

BallpointPen · 27/04/2010 16:15

I know what you mean about leopard print I think because that particular leopard is quite a small, subtle print and is a grey one rather than a big brown and cream one it isn't trashy and if there is a hint of trash there it's trash-chic not trash-trailer park IYSWIM? At that price I hope it would be a quality fabric and well made too so won't look cheap.

ooh i like it, get it, BUY IT NOW!

BridesheadRegardless · 27/04/2010 16:17

OK, I'm going to buy it!!

I've been thinking about the dress constantly for days, I posted on here in case I was deluded and needed a reality check, but the feedback is positive so I'm going for it!

Very excited.

DollyDagger is good too.

BridesheadRegardless · 27/04/2010 16:41

I've ordered it!!

it's a bit f a gamble as it's coming from Bali and I haven't tried it on obviously. But I love it so I'm risking it.

I'm going to get the petticoat from dollydagger. I love the dresses on Stop staring too.

it is really really nice. I just need an occasion (and a lottery win!) to wear one to!
