I've decided I'm spending most of this summer in Maxi dresses - I need to find a plain black one but I thought I'd also open it up for all the other beautiful dresses out there this season.

I tried 2 plain black ones in new look this weekend but one had such a low back it made wearing a bra impossible and the other was calf length and I like my maxi's to touch the floor.

Anyone seen any amazing ones this year so far?

I have two black maxi's from asos here a tube skirt but still longer than the NL one or here which is super long and has a more full skirt. I have only worn it once so far and wore 5" platform wedges and it still skimmed the floor (i'm 5ft8) The hem is unhemmed iyswim so I think you are meant to hem it to suit but i'm leaving mine long

You'll have to use the magnifier facility to see the twist front at its best (or view the red version, which shows up better) but this is really nice.

They don't have to be black by the way - I think I'll have a wardrobe full of maxi's soon.

ooh i really like that Oasis one. though will probably look obscene with peri-natal norkage as seems to plunge rather deeply.

i'm kind of wary about all-black maxis, as they might look a bit Gothic, which is fine if that's intended...but indeed a lovely shape.

Bought this from Anthropolgie. The picture on the website is not really good. The colours are really vibrant and the fabric is a light summery cotton. Can't wait to wear it!

Oh i feel compelled to mention a maxi dress by topshop with madonna on it, i love it, i covert it, i am going to dream about it but i cant have it because i am not a size six aghhhhh! But in case there are any skinnies reading this, please please buy it and tell me about it

I bought this from ASOS, although I think it's more of a beach dress to be worn over swimwear, as it's quite thin jersey.
