Style for primary school teachers

Given some of the clothes my own teachers wore in the 1970s, style and primary schools may well be mutually exclusive! But i continue to make every effort to look reasonable, although some days come home in despair after some kid has upended paint over my shirt. If you are a stylish primary school teacher, what is your look at work? Particularly keen to hear from those who teach little kids and spend much of the day sitting on the floor and dancing around the room.

not a teacher myself but I always admire ds's teacher

she wears wide leg trousers , ballet flats and nice top , nothign fancy but she always has colourful necklace or bracelet which the kids love

Linen trousers

Ballet flats in different colours

t shirt

cardi

co ordinating jewellry

Most wear this with different scarves and necklaces and earrings.

No jeans or trainers.

Long skirts with contrasting tshirts and cardi and chunky jewellry work too

DS's Reception teacher tends to wear smart trousers, a nice shirt/blouse and a cardigan. Today she was wearing black trousers, a black shirt with a floral print and a dusky pink cardigan (I remember thinking how nice she looked; I'm not a crazed stalker...).

She is young and slim and blonde and pretty, which probably helps...

Ok am not a teacher but do teach kids

I am stylish

I wore today

rolled up tapered grey chinos
grey shoe boots
navy stripe tee
navy cardi

(cheap clothes from uniqlo and new look) I refuse to roll around on the floor wearing expensive stuff)
I also wear wide legged jersey trousers, converse and tee shirts with cardi's

I don't teach but i do help in primary including FS2.

I think trousers or a long skirt are a good plan! I favour trousers that I can move easily in (ie kneel on floor etc) and a smart T-shirt and cropped cardi; or ditto top plus non-suit skirt with boots in winter, or long linen skirt and wedges in summer.

Equally a lot of the teachers wear things like skinny trousers with tunics and ballet flats etc.

Nice jewellery can smarten it up. I think high heels (apart from chunky wedges) and pencil skirts and jackets are totally out.

Seems on reading thread to be a common T-shirt/cardi theme! maybe I am a teacher manque!

I ahve at leat 2 dozen cardi's
