I need some help with casual summer shoes...

Hello

I never seem to get it quite right with spring/summer shoes and hope that some of you stylish ladies may be able to help.

I'm fine for work shoes (little heels, shiny pumps, the odd pair of sandals) but casual is a nightmare!

This year I'm determined to get it right!

In sping/summer, my casual wardrobe is:

Shirt/blouse with jeans
Lots of flouncy summer dresses with cardis
Skirts and t-shirts
Cropped trousers and short sleeved shirts

I was thinking about getting one pair of plimolly (but cool!) shoes and then one smarter pair of leather shoes. BUT I need something comfy enough to wear to death, without socks, with a budget of £ 40-60 a pair.

Any hope for me? Don't know where to start to look (Jones? Clarks? Ecco?)and have absolutely no time to mosey round the shops atm!

Thanks

They're not in your budget, but I've just bought these as I thought I could wear with jeans, leggings and maybe a skirt. ~I may be wrong!!!

I am marking my place on this thread for further suggestions.

Where do you normally shop? For clothes, I mean.

Just to get an idea of your style.

Next website has some really good shoes this year. Some like that previous link.

They are cute puppymonkey- that's the sort of thing I'm after!

PlumSykes- Mostly shop at Monsoon, Hobbs, LKBennett, Gap, Boden, M&S. So style's probably best described as 'solicitor on holiday'!

And I want to look cooler than I actually do...

Pretty Birkies are the way to go with dresses/cardies

plus plimsolly ones from Boden

order a size smaller

plimsolls

pretty flat sandals if Birkies are not your thing

Not sure if these are similar to your work shoes or not, but I've just bought this pair from Next, but in black. They're smart, but look ok with jeans & linen pants etc. as well.

I'm still trying to break them in - having trouble with the rounded toe!! but they're comfy enough
