The jeans I just bought were sold casually rolled up. Is this the new fashion?

these ones from Dorothy Perkins

I like them, I think. But I haven't seen anyone else with rolled up jeans. Is it this season's new thing or am I going to be the one everyone stares at aghast at the school date for my fashion faux pas?

I'm wearing mine rolled up right now. Is it a fashion? No idea.

I suspect it's a summer thing. suddenly women dream that they are ambling along a beach in Cornwall, converse in had, children gambolling in the frothy surf, just ahead of them.

In reality, you're carrying five coats, three lunch boxes, and are stressed about what can possibly be in the fridge for dinner.

But, hey, at least your jeans are rolled up. We can dream.

You know those children's trousers they sell rolled up on one leg (to show they can be worn at different lengths)?
I'm sure I let DS wear his first pair with one leg rolled and one not for ages

meltedmarsbars · 23/04/2010 13:23

No, it was the short-arse who'd been to try them on before you!

cyb · 23/04/2010 13:24

ISayISayISay · 23/04/2010 13:26

ANd heeled sandals too. I'm on fire today fashion-wise! Cos I tried to get some, unfortunately none in my elephantine size 8.

They are nice but they don't look very boyfriendy, they look like straight leg,how do they fiT?

traceybath · 23/04/2010 13:33

I like these

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 23/04/2010 13:35

Are turn-ups back again?? Nooooo.....leave them in the 80s where we can look bad in horror at our photos from that time.

ISayISayISay · 23/04/2010 13:41

How do they fit? Er... I don't know I've had straight jeans ages, bootcut, never really boyfriend so I don't know how they'd be meant to fit. They feel a lot looser, particularly around the thigh. But I really loved the fact that they were button fly rather than zip which is more flattering on a post-multiple-children abdomen.
