Haircare in hot humid weather

I am having my hair re-highlighted on saturday (bad roots situation) and then we go on holiday the week after that to Penang. Weather is hot and humid and I am hoping some of you will be able to recommend some haircaree products (shampoo/conditioner/something to reduce humidity-induced frizz)

Also, should I have my highlights done a little darker/more subtle this time, incase the sun lightens them and really dries my hair? Or, just go for my usual colours?

I am holidaying with my DH and 2 little DDs so although I would love to have time to spend applying hair masques etc, it is unlikely I will be able to. [I currently use the Extreme range by Redken.]

My DH suggested getting a nice sunhat, but does such a thing exist?

Any help much appreciated

Bump?

Really no one found a good product/range for super-hot sun?

I have the same problem and we often go to penang on holiday.I use a revlon spray-on detangler which is purple and has uv protection in it and Trisys Triphilia which is a nourishing oil/detangler.But i don't know where to get it in the uk as my husband gets it in hk.You can ask your hairdresser!.Failing that Aveda do a range for humid environments - but it didn't work that well on my hair.As one of my friends said "you just need to embrace your frizziness" .Use hair oil and tie it up!.

Thanks teta I will look out for the revlon spray and be prepared for 'bigger' hair than usual!

Pleasure.Enjoy the food-tis very good there. If you have not been before try the hawker stalls. In the morning they make roti chani which is like a flaky flat bread which ny kids love with sugar on [but totally unhealthy].also nasi lemak [malaysian breakfast].is making me feel hungry typing this!
