Hi Ladies,

Hubby will be passing a Lush in the next few days and he has asked me if he can get me anything..

So I thought I would ask you lovely ladies what you would recommend..

I only have Buffy at the moment - body polish..

P.S. I am 6 months preg with DC3!

Flying Fox shower gel, it smells amazing!

Alouiseg · 21/04/2010 17:40

Erm, my only suggestion would be to wear a face mask as he enters the store.

The smell is unpleasantly overpowering.

bluebump · 21/04/2010 17:42

Anything with the Karma fragrance gets my vote. That and the amandopondo bath bubble bar and buffy (which you've got).

I love the soaps, especially bohemian, demon in the dark, sandstone.

I could go on...i'm not sure which are safe to use in pregnancy though!

Hua Shen Wua (or something like that) is a hair treatment that you put on before you shampoo. It's great.

I quite like ultrabland cleanser. It is quite heavy though.

there's a shampoo called "Big" which is amazing if you have fine hair. It really builds up the body and makes you hair squeaky clean. It's quite odd though, has sea salt in it.

I've got Celestial mosituriser which is great- smells vanilla-y/flower-y and is really hydrating

Angels on Bare Skin is a really good face wash/scrub. Smells lavernder-y.

They used to do a shower wash called Ghost which smelt of lilies- really lovely.

Agree about Flying Fox- really good!

twolittlemonkeys · 21/04/2010 17:45

Their massage bars are fantastic if your DH would be willing to give you a massage. I have Therapy and another one with bits in it that smells a bit menthol-y but is fab for easing aches etc. Being pregnant sounds like a fab excuse to get DH to give you a massage (I may use that tonight - am 5 wks pg myself!) I have the chocolate face mask sitting in my fridge as well - lovely. Not keen on the shampoo bars, they seem to make my hair greasy, whichever one I use

I use Ultrabland as an eyemake up remover - it is brilliant, takes off every trace, including waterproof mascara. Been using it for years and barely a wrinkle there. My theory is the peanut oil keeps it supple or something like that. Don't like to use it on rest of face though.

WomblesAbound · 21/04/2010 19:05

iThe massage 'bricks' (as dh calls them) are absolutely FANTASTIC.

MooMinCow · 21/04/2010 19:47

Dream Cream body cream and Handy Gurugu hand cream - both excellent for dry/flaky/itchy skin (and smell is subtle on both)

Nemofish · 21/04/2010 20:25

Almond and Coconut shower smoothie - use as a shower gel (well, shower wash cream, if that makes sense)

Sympathy for the Skin - Body lotion

Angels on Bare skin - balancing and gently exfoliating cleanser. Squidge a blob of it in your hands with wather, then massage on your face, then rinse. Great for any skin type, makes skin happy.

All fine if preggers, used the shower cream on my bump loads, no stretch marks - don't know if it was due to this but it helps.

Ignore snotty comments about Lush stinking and blah blah blah. Tis the best stuff that money can buy, not tested on the liddle nanimals, fairtrade and not full of shite additives like so many other beauty brands.

TeaOneSugar · 21/04/2010 20:46

My all time favourite is Dreamtime crumbled in the bath it has me yawning within minutes, and guaruntees a good sleep, and I'm a very poor sleeper.

I love the soaps too, honey I washed the kids is really nice.

I'm hoping to sneak off to the Lush Spa in Poole when we're on holiday down there in the summer.

JackieNo · 21/04/2010 20:53

I've been using the Happy Hippy shower gel for years now, and I still love it. Bought the Ocean Salt scrub recently, and am liking that too. I'd like to try the new(ish) Lovely Jubblies breast cream too, but it's a bit pricey.

YesYouMust · 21/04/2010 20:54

The sex bomb, bath balistic. YUMMY!

Rohey · 21/04/2010 21:12

Thank you Ladies... I look forward to my treats when Hubby gets back xx

i've never dared venture in, the extreme smell frightens me

MrsDinky · 21/04/2010 23:18

Blue Skies bath bubble bar, gorgeous.

Aqua Roma toner, so gentle and smells of roses. BabyFace facial cleansing bar made of shea butter, brilliant for dry/sensitive skin.

miche8 · 22/04/2010 19:23

i always buy the sex bomb bath bomb, makes the house smell lovely and my skin so soft, it turns the water pink.

ant3nna · 22/04/2010 19:31

My dad loves demon in the dark soap and the blue bath bubble bar. Unfortunately its the only soap I've found to give me hives so I don't have any personal recommendations.

kittya · 22/04/2010 23:00

I dont really get Lush. When I was a teenage maybe but now the smells are far too overpowering.

paulaplumpbottom · 22/04/2010 23:02

Silky Underwear dusting powder smells gorgeous. I can't ever find anything else I like there.

ravenAK · 22/04/2010 23:08

Ultrabland for makeup melting - I resisted it for ages as I'm mildly allergic to peanuts when eaten, but it is fantastic for shifting heavy make up, especially eye stuff

Anything Karma, especially the solid shampoo bar & the perfume.

The solid shampoo generally!

Flying Fox shower gel.

Veganese conditioner for knackered hair, Coolaulin for 'in need of taming' hair (I have both).

NOT the Ginger range (do they still do it?). Smells of very old & slightly soggy ashtrays.
