Hi everyone,

this is my first thread I've started,so excuse any incorrect etiquette! You ladies have helped me as a lurker so I thought I'd dive in! (honestly, the All Saints dress thread amused me no end!)

Ok, so I have a wedding mid May and am at a total loss for what to wear, I'm quite young-24 and have an OK figure, size 6-8, only 5ft and lacking in any form of boobs! I'm not a Mom (not sure if this matters, but thought i'd give a full picture!)

I want to steer clear of Monsoon and Coast and any other really obvious 'wedding guest' shops-it's quite a big wedding and think there's a huge possibility of buying the same dress as someone else.

Oh goodness-Reading back this sounds an impossible challenge and I don't think I'm making myself clear.....so really ladies.....,even just some shop (or online) suggestion of where you would look for wedding guest outfits?

Thanks for getting this far-and thanks again for all the previous tips I've picked up!

Sorry, in my quest to give all the details I forgot that-I'm thinking about £100, preferably less but I would also push the boat out for the right thing!

There are a few Ted Baker pieces which I like, possible fall backs but not THE dress iyswim?x!

Goodness please excuse typos etc, I'm on my iPhone!

Thank you both!

Ted Baker; what do we think of this? I'm short so it'll be longer on me- but is it slightly over priced?

(Also will it swamp me? I have petite shoulders)

slightly over budget

here

here

House of Fraser website is worth a look. ASOS and Aftershock websites also worth a try

HellBent · 20/04/2010 20:51

Someone linked to this site a few weeks back, never used it myself but some of the dresses are gorgeous and quite cheap. has stuff on sale too here

sazzlelou · 20/04/2010 21:00

Oooh hellbent those dresses are nice

Damn you for finding me a new shopping site

navyeyelasH · 20/04/2010 21:12

I can not recommend this amazing website highly enough! I went to a wedding a few weeks back and she made me a beautiful dress based on a dress I had seen kelly brook in.

The desgn didn't match any of the 'templates' or fabrics on the website but I sent her a message and showed her the design and she said it was easy enough for her to do and she would source fabric; she made it in about 9 days & it fits likes a glove!

Literally everyone at the wedding asked me where my dress was from - I loved it! Wish I had a pic to show you

PS> she also has a ready to wear shop here if you want a nose. I think I paid about £140 for my dress, to me that's a bargain for a custom made dress!

Sidge · 20/04/2010 21:32

Hellbent thank you for that site - I have a wedding to go to in October and www.feverdesigns.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=EDRS_Pink&cat=2 have fallen in love with this dress!]]

Sidge · 20/04/2010 21:32

try again
