impossible request? pregnant shoes for dumpy legs!

Okay... am probably asking the impossible here.

I don't spend a lot on clothes/ shoes, but was given £50 before Xmas to put towards some boots. Never got them, and now boots season has passed....

I need some shoes/trainers that'll get me through the summer. Something that'll go with leggings/jeans.... erm... everything??? yeah right!!

Thing is, I've got awful, horrid, big dumpy/muscley calves and short legs. I'd love a wedgey heel, but am pregnant. So I'm thinking I should stick to flats.

So... a bit open-ended, but just need ideas to start me off. And I guess budget is about £50.

At the moment, I'm living in 'trainers' that I picked up from New Look and Primark for like £2 (yes I am such a classy chick!!.... I just don't know what to get so don't want to spend too much).

So... has anyone got ANY idea where to start??? at all?????

Dare I suggest Clarks they have some comfy wedgies and bright coloured trainer type leather pumps go to a big branch though. Also deliver to your door for free if they haven't got you size or the colour you want.

throw away shoes and wear the boxes with some elastic

I know you said you didn't want to buy wedges but how about going for a small wedge? It will help elongate your calves a bit but without running the risk of breaking your neck. Try this site - they have a few pretty small wedged sandals:

how about these

thanks for the box suggestion! I guess at least they'd look in proportion to my calves....

yes... I think Clarks will probably be where I end up looking. We've only got a small branch here, though. Will look online...

I reeeeeally want some wedges, but am more worried about having a bad back by the end of the pregnancy if I wear heels than breaking neck. But, yes, maybe some lower ones might be okay.
Thing is, I really think most of them are just going to show up how big and clumpy my feet/legs are. The ones in that link all look too... er... delicate?? for me. Or maybe I should just try some on and see!!
