Soft grey leather cross-body bag?

Have up to £200 to spend, and want a really gorgeous, slouchy leather bag that fits a decent amount of stuff (have toddler)and can be worn like a satchel.

What I really love is the Mulberry Alexa, and have been watching the replica thread with interest - but want to think about 'real' alternatives, too.

Any bag-lovers got recommendations?

This is a very long shot and only useful if you're in London, but I saw (and lusted after) just such a bag at a stall in Spitalfield's Market last year. It was around £100 I think. Gorgeous grey leather. I think the stall is a fairly permanent fixture each week.

Am in London sometimes, will see if I can get to Spitalfields (haven't done that in ages). Are we talking just before Christmas, or nearly a year ago?

i dont want to poo poo your idea but I have a gorgeous tan slouchy leather bag and it kills my back and neck when it is full up. Just thought you should bear it in mind.

I've never looked at Fossil before - that Maddox satchel is lush. May see if I can get to a Fossil store soon...

the mimi berry tallulah in grey looks nice. good size without being too big.
if you aren;t averse to radley they do the sherbourne in a soft grey leather. (you could always remove the twee dog!)
