Are clogs really back in this year??

And if so, where can I get nice ones? I saw a nice pair in Clarks, but I'm a bit about getting them in case they look a bit old fashioned and "comfy" IYSWIM.
Can anyone suggest and reasonably priced shops that have them?

Used to have a lovely white pair from Faith (bought about 6 years ago), and they lasted ages, went with everything, but they don' appear to have them this year

I love 'em

I have these but they seem to be sold out now...

Good classic clogs in a range of colours here and I think schuh do some too.

I didn't like the clarks ones as they don't have a wooden sole and that plastic stuff looks awful when it wears away.

tethersend · 18/04/2010 23:48

Schuh ones here

tethersend · 18/04/2010 23:49

Good range here too.

I have a pair like the Schuh ones & they are very comfortable.

I also have a pair of pink suede clogs that I love

thanks everyone. Tethers, thnaks you so much for the schuh ones - exactly what I've been looking for. You're right about the clarks ones - didn't think of what the plastic would look like after a few days weeks' wear!

Try the World of Clogs webite and check out the wooden footbed ones (under 'Fashion'). They have the classic Swedish makes on sale.

I rather fell for the studded pink patent ones ... < runs clomps away>

I love clogs and got mine from Germany here www.mbclogs.de (no idea if link works, sorry). I got very pretty lilac nubuck ones, cost about £50. Quick delivery, true to size (I am a 40/41 and got the 40).

They are nice as the heel is slightly higher than standard clog.

tethersend, i got a pair too but thought they were really pricey for what they were so send them back. I paid £129!

Pannacotta · 19/04/2010 21:08

Mumsnut thanks for the link, I have been looking for some clogs for ages and there are loads on that site...

tethersend · 19/04/2010 22:01

£129 is way too much- I got mine for £69, and I love them.

tethersend · 19/04/2010 22:08

olderandwider, great link, thanks

I am between a 40-41; I have wide feet, which size do you think I should get?

diddl · 20/04/2010 12:40

Ooh great link!
Love the lavender and the fell

olderandwider · 21/04/2010 15:00

Sorry, been away/busy so only just seen this question, tethersend. First, £69?! Bargain! Where did you get them from? Mine came from Plumo - I know, pricey rubbish, but there you go.

As for which size to get at MB clogs- my feet are average to wide and I am fine with the 40. Basically I have one size 40 foot and one size 401/2 but the 40 is fine on me. Looking at them now, after a couple of weeks of light wear they are certainly not tight on me (felt snug when I got them) so I think you'd be fine with the 40. Or you could send them an email but they will reply in German!

Is there a secret to walking in clogs? I always half flip them off the end of my foot and put all my weight on my arch which is agony. Or have to try and grip them on with my toes, which is more long-term agony.

Or should I just be standing about in something wafty and not trying to walk?
