I've found a notice for mobile beautician in the newsagents so thought I'd bite the bullett and give her a ring. These are the prices she has given me, but I'm not sure how much this stuff costs in general. Just wanted to make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

Eyebrow threading £3.50
Half leg wax £8
Full leg wax £12
Bikini £8
Underarm £5
Eyelash tinting £5.50
Eyebrow tinting £4.50

Very cheap! I paid about £6-7 for threading at a threading 'bar', but usually pay £12 for a (bad!) eyebrow wax.

geordieminx · 16/04/2010 15:23

Usually pay £12-£15 for bikini and eyebrow wax

PlumSykes · 16/04/2010 15:28

Cheap as chips, I pay £20 for brows and bikini

krugerparkrules · 16/04/2010 15:30

cheap!

do ask her how long she has being doing it - i dont do waxes with anyone inexperienced - i am sure she is experienced, but its worth just asking!

doggiesayswoof · 16/04/2010 15:38

Cheap!

£15 for a half leg where I go
Bikini £13
Brow £9.50

I agree, ask how experienced she is

zazen · 16/04/2010 15:45

65 euros for a leg wax where I am.

something sounds a little cheap here - is she insured?

craftynclothy · 16/04/2010 16:01

Definitely sounds cheap.

The place I go is £24 for a full leg and £15 for bikini, so about double those prices.

doggiesayswoof · 16/04/2010 16:26

Mobile = cheaper

She doesn't have overheads, rent to pay on premises etc

It isn't necessarily dodgy

zazen 65 euros is outrageous

whifflegarden · 17/04/2010 11:38

Agree with doggiem also depends where you are. I pay £5 for eyebrow threading.

whifflegarden · 17/04/2010 11:38

doggie

springlambanana · 17/04/2010 15:52

cheap especially the threading

displayuntilbestbefore · 17/04/2010 15:55

sounds pretty cheap
£17.50 for a half leg wax at our local salon

nappyaddict · 21/04/2010 10:09

She says she is registered and insured with the Guild of Beauty Therapists?

AbsOfCroissant · 21/04/2010 10:13

VERY cheap. Maybe just start with a leg wax, so how good she is, and then consider bikini/eyebrow (I wouldn't really want to let an amateur lose on those areas, that's why I pay for a professional, not me)

StephysFamous · 21/04/2010 10:36

Normal prices for where I am, many people on here were shocked to find out I only charge £7 for a haircut (trim, not complete restyle). I think it depends on where you live.

nappyaddict · 21/04/2010 12:24

Where do you live I need a trim!

I'm in Fife, £7 is the usual for most salons here.
