Summer coat for 5 year old boy

I am after a summer coat for my son who is 5 (would buy age 6 though as he's a tall chap).

The problem is that I need one with no hood and no fussy bike jacket style neckline - DS has ASD and likes his clothes worn "properly" so if there is a zip it must be done up, buttons/poppers fastened and hoods up. This is fine in winter but if he insists on keeping a hood up all summer he will be too hot and look odd! Must be suitable for school so pref a darkish colour no big logos (although if there was a super cute one I would get a school and a home one

I've looked on the local high street - no luck. Was going to try Gap H&M and TK Maxx next unless you can help!

H&M have some with a hood that could be detached before it was given to him?
