I would like a day dress, that is not a wrap dress.

I would like a day dress that I can just pop on, with a nice pair of shoes and be ready for work in 30 seconds.

My fantasy requirements are -
Not a wrap dress
Not floral
Not too plain either
Knee length or longer
Not black
Needs lseevs of some sort
Not empire line, always makes me look pregnant, except when I am! (I'm not)
Preferably not jersey, but would consider it.
Something I could wear by itself in summer and with a cardy and tights in winter would be nice.

I thought the Boden Esseential Dress in the SS catalogue was the answer to my prayers, but I ordered it and it looked like a dishrag.

I am a buxom size 14, 5'8" and fair.

Budget - I normally quake at the idea of paying more that £50 for anything, but would spend maybe up to £100 for the right dress.

I also needs some shoes to go with it! I like chunky Fly type shoes, hate dainty stilletoey things, rarerly wear heels, but think this type of dress would need heels.

Hoep there are soem magicians out there!

tethersend · 15/04/2010 20:42

I may have too much time on my hands.

BikeRunSki · 15/04/2010 20:57

Wow blimey ladies, thank you! Loving all the sale Jaeger, but do rather like the LKBennett silk one. Also this LKB one this.

shirt dresses good for the curvy - M&S have a nice-looking navy one in Autograph at the moment. I am purchasing it myself when I get the opportunity (can't do links though sorry)
