I bought a pair yesterday!

I bought them for comfort and did wince at the price. But have sort of blocked that bit out.

If you wear them all the time you can't think of them as flip flops you have to think of them as shoes and £30+ is a shoe price isn't it

cyb · 15/04/2010 07:38

urgh I loathe them. I have never seen anyone look good in them. You cant stick sparkles on an orthopaedic support toe posted shoe and expect it to look good

poppy34 · 15/04/2010 07:50

Am with others - have three pairs as are ridiculously comfortable and have lasting affection as were only shoes I could wear when about to have dd. They are definitely a slobbing about type of shoe though as even black leather pair are still flip flops

Nymphadora · 15/04/2010 08:20

I don't dress smart so don't think that matters

I bought a pair in spring and wore them for the first time at the weekend and they're rubbing me terribly, hoping I'll wear them in soon though as I love them. Even went for a long-ish walk in them and they were comfy, apart from the rubbing. I consider them more of a sandal than a flip-flop, as you don't just wear them to the pool, more of an everyday thing. Muscles in my legs are sore too so they must be doing some toning too....added bonus.

MrsMotMot · 15/04/2010 15:37

I'm with cyb, sorry... good if you have foot problems, clearly, but they're not bonny.

brimfull · 15/04/2010 16:31

I think I would wear them with jeans or linen trews , they look fine when glimpsed under trousers.
They have the added bonus of giving height with comfort included-that alone is worth points.

Also because they are quite distinctive shape and marketed to sort out cellulite/fat bum whenever i see anyone wearing them i can't help checking out their arse to see if the fitflops "work"

This is why i will never wear any despite own fat bum!

cymrukernow · 15/04/2010 20:04

I love fitflops - spent last summer in the sparkly sandals. This year I've got the jewelled ones, they look fab. And I'm not normally a flat shoes person as I'm so short . But these have a chunky sole which add a couple of well needed inches. I get mine from waltersshoes.co.uk.

Pinkmarshmallow · 15/04/2010 20:08

redshoesnoknickers... not sure if your theory about checking people's bums is reliable... if their bum is big, well, you don't know how much bigGER it was before they started wearing fitflops!!

redshoesnoknickers · 16/04/2010 09:28

lol i know pink - it's the idea of drawing attention to my bum i'm trying to avoid!
