Work wardrobe crisis

Hello all, hoping for some advice and inspiration from you.

I work in a school (part time admin) so currently off for 2 week Easter break and have been thinking about what to wear when I go back. Have limped through winter in frumpy collection of black trousers and long skirts/boots that frankly make me look 60 rather than 40... Hit the shops at the weekend and come back with a few tops but nothing for the bottom half which might cause a bit of stir in the staffroom!

So...what to wear? Can't wear jeans/demin although its my out of work favourite, don't get on with linen and a bit scared to go in legging type get up... Size 10/12 and about 5ft9 and an apple shape.

Thanks all....

Jules

knee length a-line patterned skirts- pretty, smart, dress up with heels or down with flats- suit all shapes imo
pencil skirts- smart, always
chino-style trousers.. not linen but equally summery

Pencil skirts definitely (if you bare legs in the warmer weather, I have legs that cannot be let out on their own )
