Do nice, reasonably priced bikinis for huge norks exist??! HELP!!!

After trawling M&S, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Asda, Tesco etc etc I can only find hammocks big size bikinis in La Senza.

Where do all you lovely big norked ladies get yours from? They need to be quite reasonably priced as I'm on quite a tight budget! Asda had some lovely bikinis for £3/£4 but stop at an F cup - I'm a 40G

HELP!!!!!

bravissimo

big norks dont come cheap

AgentProvocateur · 11/04/2010 22:12

Or the Fig Leaves clearance site - they're just like proper bras but made of swimming cossie material.

ameliameerkat · 11/04/2010 22:33

I would have said fig leaves or bravissimo too. If it's somewhere without cupsizes, I can get away with buying separates (about an 18 on top and 12 on bottom) and doctoring the top a little, but then I'm only a 34DD so not quite so troublesome. I hope you find something nice!

TheYearOfTheCat · 11/04/2010 22:42

barenecessities.co.uk does lovely large cupped bikinis.

They usually have a good sale section.

TequilaMockinBird · 11/04/2010 22:52

Thanks, will have a look at those sites tomorrow!

Big norks aren't all they're cracked up to be, if only asda would stretch to that teeny extra bit of material needed to make a G cup!!

at the prices of some of those - how do people afford those?!

Sale sections had some excellent reductions but nothing in my size...

Any other ideas before I resort to going to B&Q and buying 2 sheets of tarpaulin?

For really low budget try sainsburys .... they have mix and match at very low prices - I bought a halter bikini top in a size 20 which just about did the trick for my 34Gers and then bought bottoms in different size

I did get a bikini from Next which was better (34G underwired) but of course this was more expensive ... but I think less than £35 for the whole bikini

TequilaMockinBird · 12/04/2010 12:37

Ooh, never thought of Next, will have a look on there! Gosh, I'd probably need about a size 28 from Sainsburys to get mine in, then the bit then fastens around me would be all 'baggy' ... wouldn't it?

the one I got was a tie round the back but not sure they went up to a 28.

Good luck - having big knockers can be a real pain can't it?

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 13:01

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 13:01

denenhams do a range too

Zondra · 12/04/2010 13:14

I second Freya & Debenham's own range. I got some gorgeous, flattering bikinis last year from both.

TequilaMockinBird · 12/04/2010 13:57

If I got something like this would I look like Katie Price?!

OP posts:
SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 13:58

TequilaMockinBird · 12/04/2010 14:00

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 12/04/2010 14:02

I have www.bravissimo.com/products/swimwear/bikinis/panache/bikini-tops/ps63-details.aspx?ck=UwrsMxK e3ZM%3d
Size 12 bum, 30J norks. Looks a bit porn star but does the trick. ££ though

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 12/04/2010 14:03

www.bravissimo.com/products/swimwear/bikinis/panache/bikini-tops/ps63-details.aspx?ck=UwrsMxKe3ZM%3dtry again

TequilaMockinBird · 12/04/2010 14:14

I'm a 40G as I was obviously at the front of the queue when they handed norks out

I'm a size 14/16 bum. I'm thinking I may just have to wear a swimming costume - I don't want to look like Jordan but at the same time, some of those 'Doreen' type bikini's will make me look like Peggy Mitchell!!!

TequilaMockinBird · 12/04/2010 14:15

That's nice gherkin - £46 for a bikini though?

I may need to borrow DP's credit card I think!!

Oilersgirl · 12/04/2010 14:59

I use these guys www.brastop.com. They have a good selection, great prices and if you sign up to their newsletter they send through regular discounts. Also if you belong to a cashback site like www.quidco.com you can get cashback as well.

Surprise · 12/04/2010 20:09

Have you been measured properly? I always thought I was a 40E, until I was measured and found out that I'm actually a 32HH! I can't buy bras at normal shops, but Bravissimo, Debenhams and some online sellers (on ebay) do those sizes. I bought a panache swimsuit last year, which I think was almost £40 but it transformed me into looking virtually normal! I would highly recommend getting measured (not at M&S), but John Lewis, House of Fraser, Bravissimo or local department store and you may be surprised.

(Apologies if you have already been measured and know your correct size!)

TequilaMockinBird · 12/04/2010 20:24

Oh wow, that's an excellent site Oilersgirl, thank you!

Surprise, yep I have been measured, always thought I was a 38E - so was quite when I came out at 40G!
