Good fake tan for the face, for sensitive skin?

I've just applied the Dove gradual tan one for the face, and it's stinging and my face looks a bit red and angry.

I don't care if it's gradual tanning or wash off tan, as long as it doesn't make my skin flare up.

I'm hoping to make myself look less dead and disguise the thread veins around my nose a bit.

Any suggestions?

I have just discovered the miracle that is St Moritz. It's a cheap as chips mousse (similar to St Tropez) at £2.99 a bottle from Semi-Chem, although you can buy it online. I bought it on the offchance once, and love it. I'm really fair skinned with sensitive skin, and had never found a fake tan that didn't streak or go patchy, but this one is fab. Exfoliate and moisturise the day before, and then put it on the next day with one of these sponge mitt thinigies. Wash it off in the shower a few hours later or overnight - and bobs your uncle.

I don't work for them btw - although I do sound a bit obsessed!

Clinique self sun is excellent.

You should try Xen Tan's Facial Tanner, as it is not only a self tanner, but also contains white tea, milk thistle and aloe, which all work to soothe sensitive skin.

I am very fond of Clarins liquid bronze - my skin is quite twitchy and it doesn't mind this. And it is a doddle to apply and nice colour.
