Bumperliouzzzzzz · 10/04/2010 14:04

I need a cardi that I can throw on over summer stuff, it needs to be longish as I am pg and be able to go with anything.

I am 29 if that helps and budget is small (£30 ish).

Red Herring at Debenhams have some nice long ones in light colours, about £20 odd.

cornsilk · 10/04/2010 14:21

I want one too. Can't find a nice trench coat so will need many many cardis.

Shaz10 · 10/04/2010 14:22

Just saw some nice waterfall style cardis in Monsoon.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 10/04/2010 14:26

Hey I never said 'old'! Just a lush

And as for the belly, well, you weren't the first, and you certainly won't be the last. I now look like a large easter egg!

Will check out debenham. No zara nearby but will have a look online.

i had NO TEA that was why - and 'cited

bibbitybobbityhat · 10/04/2010 15:46

The Zara ones are very lovely Bumper and there's a huge range of colours.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 10/04/2010 17:07

Zara don't seem to have a clothing website. Thanks for the link Su, I actually have one almost identical from Primark. It's a bit boyfriendy isn't it? Anything more feminine and (I may regret saying this) 'floaty' around?

Saw a really nice long-length cardi in Benetton last week. Very thin material - it's a summer cardi, clearly, and intended to work the long-length look, rather than provide anything other than minimal heating. Not completely opaque, iyswim. Thus perhaps what you mean by "floaty" ???

No idea of price, was trying it on to go with something else, so didn't look. And only tried on grey, so don't know if they had other colours.

And the Benetton website defeated me, sorry.

bambootoo · 10/04/2010 19:35

some nice light jersey ones in matalan today...

miche8 · 10/04/2010 20:37

how about a waterfall cardi, i lived in mine while pregnant. You can get different lengths ones, new look and republic had them today.

SuSylvester · 10/04/2010 20:39

this would be good for a bump non?

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 11/04/2010 08:20

I'd rather have one that I didn't have to wear tied up (being fussy - sorry!).

I was tentatively thinking waterfall but was wondering if they were a bit frumpy, but if republic and NL are doing them then they can't be!

The Benetton one sounds nice and kind of what I was thinking, but realistically I probably need something that I can wear if it is a bit chilly.

Will check out NL and Republic.

republic have a new one called Miso which looks nice.
I bought DD one from there at Christmas and it's lovely, although not cotton < fabric snob emoticon >.

Cornsilk, did the Wrap jacket not work out?

herjazz · 11/04/2010 12:21

I saw some nice ones in linea house of fraser today. There was a black and white striped one that caught my eye. Had a little look on website but can't see it. only these waterfall thingies which nowhere near as nice. Other one is far less fussy, much more cool with same width stripes. Not so waterfally drapey

I got a waterfall style one from marshall ward. Not what I'd pick usually but thought it would get me to 20 weeks without people asking. (Pfffffff!) Reduced loads. Material is soft and comfortable

KnottyLocks · 11/04/2010 12:41
