ameliameerkat · 10/04/2010 12:38

Cute! I like it! (I'm 30, if that helps )

cocolepew · 10/04/2010 12:38

I think it's horrible and I'm 41

HTH

That model is waaaayy skinny

crumpette · 10/04/2010 12:41

well I'm 24 and I would never wear it but it's cute on someone else and quite 'sonia rykiel' in style..

southeastastra · 10/04/2010 12:43

look like something from boden

FunnyLittleFrog · 10/04/2010 12:44

It's very Next. And that's not a good thing.

MrsVidic · 10/04/2010 13:41

I think its something I would buy and the never wear as it just wouldn't go with anything iyswim (im 26)

krugerparkrules · 10/04/2010 13:50

I like it, but i do love those colours, and it feels like a jersey you would put on and feel happy in!

MadameOvary · 10/04/2010 13:58

Don't like it.
Trying waaay too hard.

mangoandlime · 10/04/2010 14:11

I think it's very stylish, I love it.

I wear wide leg linen trousers with fitted cardis half done up over vest tops, it's a lovely look, I reckon. (Well I would say that!)

Sometimes Next haven't a clue but their cardigans are really well fitting this year, as are the wide leg linen trousers, I've just bought a pair in all three colours. Lots of Next snobbery around too which I think is as much a bandwagon thing as the Boden bandwagon everyone seeems to jump on. (Oooh contrversial!) Next's flowery jumpsuits are but there are lots of summer staples too.

cornsilk · 10/04/2010 14:13

don't like it

researchquery · 10/04/2010 14:18

mangoandlime, can you link to the linen trousers you like please?

mangoandlime · 10/04/2010 14:26

www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/casual/76/4

The navy ones came yesterday and I love them so much I've ordered the other two colours as well.

horridhobo · 10/04/2010 17:52

Cardigan - hideous. Linen trousers - nice.

animula · 10/04/2010 19:10

It's a bit jolly.

I'm sure if the rest of your outfit were to be monochrome and modernist, it might look like an interjection of wit. However, the merest hint of colour anywhere else and you would immediately risk looking eccentric. I, for example, am simply too plump to risk anything quite so "upbeat". I'd look like a 70s children's television presenter. But perhaps you're slim enough to carry it off.

And, yes, it does sail very close to the Boden wind, with all that implies.

traceybath · 10/04/2010 19:11

No - its way too next.

Far too identifiable and too old/jolly for you.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 10/04/2010 19:43

Nasty.

DunderMifflin · 10/04/2010 19:43

I agree with the identifiable comment by tracey - I'm not a Next snob but I find its best to stick to the basics because you're bound to see someone else wearing the same thing.

FanjolinaJolie · 10/04/2010 19:51

I don't mind it. But I think the cut of it would not be flattering at all unless you were very slim.

itsybitsy08 · 10/04/2010 19:56

Im 22, not my personal style, not brave enough to carry off all those colours in one go, but i quite like it! Its summery and would set a nice tan off!
As for "too next" who really cares where something is from as long as you like it! I mean seriously!

purplepeony · 10/04/2010 19:57

no- looks cheap but hard to say til you see it in RL.

Adair · 10/04/2010 20:06

Oh god, it's hideous.

But each to their own

researchquery · 11/04/2010 17:44

Thanks mangoandlime

Intergalactic · 11/04/2010 18:23

Well, personally I think it's awful, and I'm also 26. I think animula sums it up brilliantly. But if you like it, don't let all of us put you off .
