My skin has never been so bad - pregnancy acne?

Whoever said pregnancy makes your skin glow and your hair lustrous hasn't met me obviously.

I've got 50-60 tiny red pimples all over my cheeks and forehead, none of which ever turn into proper spots, but they look awful and as soon as one disappears, another one erupts in its place.

I've tried wearing no make-up, varying my cleansing routine, and now I'm just desperate to find a product that will hide them without making me look like I've plastered on an inch of concealer.

The hair problems can wait for another thread!

Are you in the first trimester? My skin and hair was world-beatingly greasy then, but looked great a bit further into the pregnancy. Find Urban Decay surreal concealer is good. And also Urban Decay powder for oily skin was the only thing that made my skin anywhere near normal. It looks bright white but goes on translucent.

You could ask your GP if it's pregnancy acne and if they can prescribe anything safe for it? Acne responds to topical anti-biotic cream and there might be something approved for use during pregnancy.

My skin was lovely until about 6 months and then I got a crop of acne on my right cheek and chin. Two years after giving birth, it's still there! Although I'm blaming that on still lactating... Bare Escentuals mineral face powder hides quite a bit without looking plastered on, but no good if you've got flaky bits as well.
