new wardrobe for london weekend

hi ladies I am having an impromptu trip to london next weekend with some friends. Since having dd2 7 months ago i haven't really had any girly nights/days out and I have also lost my sense of style

I was hoping you lovely s&b ladies could help me out, we are travelling by coach so need something comfy and stylish to travel down in, we are going out for dinner and to a show so need something for that then shopping the next day need something for then too

not sure on budget but remember I am on mat leave which equals mat pay

Im a size 14/16 so really need some help hiding all this baby weight too

please help

everyone is very casual in London and if you arrive too dressy you will really look "up from the country"- believe me- I live near London. Most people seem to live in jeans and either trainers or Converses.

I'd suggest you wear "normal clothes" such as jeans or casual trousers, or skirts with layered T's, camis and cardigans, and either boots or ballet type flats depending on the weather.

A nice "day dress" such as a wrap over dress might be nice for the evening, with dressy boots or shoes.

whatever- wear comfortable footwear and watch the weather forecast- it tends to be warmer so you might not need your thickest coat.
