Question about L'Oreal's Self Tanning Dry Mist for Body

I have just given this a quick trial - literally about 30 mins ago so colour not developed yet I wanted to use it on my face but it says "do not use on face". Do any of you wise self-tanning people know why?

I generally use the St Tropez Everyday and use that on my face without any ill consequences.

I use the garnier body one on my face.

That doesn't answer your question though, does it?

tulpe · 09/04/2010 19:56

LOL! Not totally, no, Coco! But basically I am wondering if there is anything other than a marketing ploy involved

I think it's a marketing ploy.

But if you do and your face falls off, don't come after me.

i think the only reason not to use it on your face would be as the skin is more sensitive, and usually you would want a lighter colour for the face....not used fake tan for a while but theres no way i would want my face the same shade as my legs, not natural in my opinion.

thanks both And promise not to seek legal compensation from any advice given

I think the spray action would make it hard to get a decent effect. It's the fake tan I use all the time but I wouldn't be confident using it on my face, and I have a very steady hand!
