Going to a party

I'm going to a really big party next month, very wealthy couple, it will be the works.
Many of my ex's friends will be there, some of whom I haven't seen since we split.
I need a new outfit that makes me look fab but not tarty or too much. I would like ex's mates to think wow she looks great, I suppose with the hope they will report back to him.
What sort of thing would you suggest? I have a budget of about £100.

First of all, don't dress up for ex's mates. They are men,they won't notice if you show up wearing a bin bag, and are very unlikely to report back to him anyway. Dress up for yourself.

And how old are you? Size,shape? Is it an evening do? What's the dress code?
