and plan a viait to the National Gallery for a photo exhibition.
Now are there any wonderful new shops I should pop into...bearing in mind I have a big birthday next month and dh has no idea what to get me.
I'm thinking Anthropologie/Banana Republic..or is it not all it seems.
I have an infinite budget!!! (well, I think I do- dh may have other ideas)

Well, Westfield has many, MANY shops for all budgets, so if you want to blitz the shops, then that is the place to go IMO...

don't know about new, but Liberty or Fenwick is always worth a look

Carnaby Street has a great American Apparel

deaddei · 08/04/2010 17:22

American Apparel is a definite- I've been to Westfield, and want to stay Regent Street area.

i dont get AA
i find it all thin and cheap looking

like banana rep too.

Westfield nowhere near National Gallery.

You want the Banana Republic on Regent Street.

Wouldn't bother with Carnaby Street.

Of course, the very marvellous Liberty and Fenwicks are also nearby too.

she knows that
ill tell you i had a nice brunch at JL cafe when i was last there
was rather suprised

As an alternative to GAP you could try Esprit on Regent St. Quite good for basics, nice summer skirts and cardis. Wouldn't bother with American Apparel. If my budget was infinite, I would only get American Vintage or Petit Bateau T-Shirts.

Anthropologie is really wonderful. I love the changing rooms and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Although the Kings Road shop is better than the one on Regents Street IMO.

Have a great day!

Oh, I forgot: You have to go to Hoss on Regent St. It's a Spanish label and I absolutely love their dresses. Have a look at their catalogue. Although their website is a nightmare to navigate...

Take a wander up to Selfridges - it's only 10 minutes walk. Take a short cut through Hanover Square, Bond Street, South Molton Street. Check out the shops on Brook Street.
