I've been unwell for almost a month - first tonsilitis then a chest infection and heavy cold which has involved dire coughing fits every half an hour or so and little sleep.
i'm just coming out the other side now but feel i look dreadful - pale, washed out, with dark circles under eyes. Not been able to exercise properly since the whole saga began. What will give my skin/general appearance a real boost?

Argh poor you!

Bit of gentle facial fake tan? Like the Clarins one - put lots of moisturiser on first. Could add in an eyelash tint and some general pampering at the beauticians.

or for a cheap quick fiox, Superdrug do a brightening/illuminating cream in their 'natural high' range thus whoich is less than the price of a coffee and works pretty well

light foundation and a blusher over tons of moisturiser- soemthing like Clinique Moisture Surge is lovely.

I'd do the following:
Vitamin C
Best multi-vit-min you can afford
Fish oils
Pro-biotics (proper ones not the drinks)

All taken daily - you'll be a new woman in 3 weeks.

Fish oils & vit c really good for skin & probiotics will help your immune system bounce back.

and a little bit of sun (without SPF protection) does wonders.

Hope you're back to your old self soon.

Snap kissmummy, I have had two bouts of tonsillitis, currently suffering from sinusitis so looking absolutely dreadful. I think I will prescribe myself a holiday
