What to wear with one-shoulder dress?

Hello wise ladies

I'm going to a wedding in May, and as it's practically the first time me and DP have been out together since our baby was born last July, I'm unreasonably excited about it. Another cause for excitement is that I'll obviously need a new dress.

Being stout of calf, I'm rather favouring a maxi dress, particularly a one-shoulder number from Wallis. (Yes, I know!)

But what to wear over it when it's chilly, as it will inevitably be? I feel that whatever it is should cover up the assymetry of the chest area. Or am I just being an old square?

Would a jacket be OK? Or do I have to go down the slightly tedious pashmina route?

A thermal vest

Am thinking...

Can you link to the dress?

This this one here

A vest is indeed an option. Long-sleeved, do you think?

LOVELY dress! I would think and neatly fitted jacket would look great, with sleeves rolled up perhaps, and maybe collar turned up a touch.

It's lovely, scrape the thermal idea

cocolepew · 08/04/2010 11:43

scrap even

that's stunning! I think a wrappy thing. Will look.
