So, i have a pair of cream patent John Rocha pumps with the elasticated back.
Turns out that i find that kind of back quite uncomfortable to wear for more than 3 minutes.

I really like them though and as long as i don't move they're fine but as thats not very practical i wonder if you have any tips on what i can do with them to make them more comfy???

TIA.

Have you got a link? It's hard to say without seeing the shoes... are they slingback?

OhCobblers · 07/04/2010 12:57

thanks for responding.
can't find them online as debenhams (where i bought them) don't stock them anymore.
but you know the ballet shoes that you see around with the elasticated back - so many flat shoes around at the mo seem to have them?
they're not slingback - i guess imagine a ballet flat with bow on it and the elasticated back? am i making any sense?

fashion descriptions clearly not my forte!!

Oh, I know what you mean. Ouch.

I hate those things.

You could try snipping the elastic, but this may make them too loose.

TBH, I'd just buy new shoes

you're so right but am very keen on them particuarly when they look v expensive (i think) and only cost me £16!!

but just cannot be doing with uncomfortable shoes - life's too short

ebay it is then ...................

You can get some clear gel things that stick on yor heels, but it would be v expensive having to wear them every time.

Try the clear gel things you stick in your shoes at the heel - might help. I love those things!
