A dress for a wedding- a tough one!!!

In desperate need for some proper fashionista help!

SO: I'm short and chubby and have the worst legs EVER.
We're invited to a summer wedding, and I want to look my best (whatever that means...). That's why I'm beginning my search ASAP.

I have a narrow waistline, and a bit of a tummy , wide hips, nice cleavage, fair complexion, and shoulder-length wavy hair (I usually wear it up for events).

SO:

  1. can you recommend a good tummy/thigh/fats controller? is this any good?

  2. can you recommend a dress for me? I can probably go up to 200£, hate floral prints and yellow of all kinds.

  3. and what kind of dress length goes well with obnoxious legs? (other than floor length, of course..).

thank you very very much

A wrap dress with 3/4 sleeves, just below the knee with killer heels....

Moneyspider · 06/04/2010 21:26

Would you wear this?

Hi I sympathise, have to look for a dress for a wedding too (in July) and am scared to even try anything on after gaining three stone while pregnant!
For the tummy/thigh control, I usually make my own 'magic shorts' by buying a pair of M & S control top tights (think they are called bum, waist and thigh shaper?) and cutting them off at the knee. Then you can add a pair of 'hold everything in' knickers/shorts/tights on top. You will be boiling hot but you will look really streamlined.
Good luck!

I would wear something to accentuate your hourglass figure.
