I am a MN winner having designed and won the fairy junk competition with the kids......My prize was £250 to spend in Space NK!!!!!

Soooooooooo any recommendations??

So far will be getting a new NARS bronzer and Ren Rose bath oil plus Erbaviva massage oil for the kids (it's amazing and smells gorgeous)...Leaves me with about £200....

Currently needs a new cleanser, have used Eve Lom in the past but got bored with the faff........currently using Caudalie which is OKish...have used Chanel in the past and wish it was stocked in Space NK as would buy that!!

Oh, and did I mention I WON the £250

I'd go for some Eve Lom personally as it is so so good but so pricey. Save it for a bit; one day you'll be glad it's there.

Candles?

DorotheaPlenticlew · 06/04/2010 20:08

Ooh and the Ren Omega 3 serum, and the frankincense cream ...

More and congratulations, btw!

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/04/2010 20:13

Oh well done - that is great!

God knows re cleanser as I use soap but there are two excellent products in Space NK which I swear by:

Kiehls Abyssine Cream - about £40. It is a perfect day cream - really light but very smoothing. Good SPF as well. One of the best creams I have ever tried.

Also, if you want foundation or concealer, Eclat Opulent (foundation) and Touche Velouté (concealer) By Terry are the best by far of anything I have ever tried. Pricey though - foundation £90, concealer £30. Worth it though imo.

pixierara · 06/04/2010 20:20

thank you getorf I had my skin scanned recently and they said that the worst thing I was doing to my skin was using soap and face wipes to clean/get rid of make up...They said that by using an expensive moisturiser on not properly cleaned skin was almost a waste of time!!

Am very interested to hear about the Kiehls absyth cream.......is it a bit like clarins beauty flash???

OP posts:
nannyj · 06/04/2010 20:24

Space nk candles are fab and also get some Dr. Lipp.......and get some for me too

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/04/2010 20:27

Oh don't say that re skin scanning - I love potions creams and make up but can never be arsed with cleansing. So just wash my face with soap or shampoo in the shower

Perhaps will buy some cleanser...

Abyssine cream - not really Beauty FLASH BaLM, rather a nice light cream.

suggy · 06/04/2010 20:31

What about some make-up brushes ? I'd go for the silly money, buy stuff you wouldn't usually. Its so easy to be sensible and buy what you need.

Tell me about the scan. What did they do to make the diagnosis ?

brimfull · 06/04/2010 20:33

I would get that by terry £90 foundation- I tried it and it is amazing.

brimfull · 06/04/2010 20:34

yes - tell us about the scanning please
where did you get it done

traceybath · 06/04/2010 20:35

What a wonderful prize! Can you get to a store in person?

I would get:

  • Eve Lom Cleanser
  • something from the Dr Sebagh range
  • Chantecaille Frangipane perfume or Laura Mercier L'Heure Magique - I wear both and they're lovely
  • Diptyque candle in figuier
  • Ren Morrocon Rose Body Wash
  • Nars blusher in orgasm and the new hi-lighter
  • Stila lipgloss in banane - the perfect beige for blondes

Can you tell I like space nk

Have fun!

nannyj I am a complete candle whore...always have been, I LOVE them! However, having tired loads and loads including the usual suspects, I conclude that NEOM organic (used to be natural magic) are the best bar none for best and that lily Flame are the best for everyday.....

suggy I did think about make up brushes, but TBH my routine is very very quick now I have 3 DC's..................don't have time to use brushes when fingers will do

The Skin scan was a real opener, I had a lot of white stuff on my face which was dry skin/dirt and very dehydrated eyes as they were purple on the scan...it was a bit like being on a sunbed whilst looking in the mirror!!!!

sorry to post 2x...am off to reccy the by terry foundation!!

OP posts:
GetOrfMoiLand · 06/04/2010 20:44

It's brilliant, that foundation. It only comes in one colour, as it adjusts to whatever tone your skin is, and the texture is amazing, your skin looks glowing and flawless, and it feels brilliant.

I never thought I would be so extravagant as to spemnd that much on foundation, but now that I have I cannot got back really. I have some Lancome stuff which I use when just want light coverage, and you can feel and see the difference. So have spoilt myself really.

snigger · 06/04/2010 20:48

Oh, buy the lipstick queen lipstick in Medieval, it's sheer but bright and an absolute staple. Other colours are good, but that one worked for my particular brand of wan-faced wannabe mystique.

snigger · 06/04/2010 20:49

Oh, and congrats

cyb · 06/04/2010 20:51

I wouldnt bother with Eve Oom, loads of cleansers just as good, IMVHO

I would go for Shu Umera eye crayons, they are lovely

I wanted a Nars cheek thing but sold out

suggy · 06/04/2010 20:59

Tracybath - tell me about orgasm blusher...

I know what you mean Pixie about brushes but I heart them. Even though rarely use... Though do love my kabali brush ?

JJ · 06/04/2010 21:03

I like Shu Uemura cleansing oils :
www.spacenk.co.uk/category/shop+by+brand/shu+uemura/skincare.do

and I got this for Christmas (by request, I should add! )
Revive neck cream:
www.spacenk.co.uk/product/code/135720009.do?showPrevNext=false
but I am old and turkey-necked.

If you want makeup, go try it all out! They're very good with that.

pixierara · 06/04/2010 21:12

thank you all!!

Am SOLD on the by Terry foundation - but v.v.v.v. worried I will become hooked. I currently use a chanel one that is being discontinued so will give that a go!

Also LOVE the sound of the stilia lipstick in Banane, have been searching for a perfect beige one for ages - used to use one called beige by estee lauder.

Haven't tried NARS orgasm, but LOVE their bronzer...tis my one staple in the mornings as gauranteeed to make me look hot to trot!

Really liking the look of the Shu cleansing oils so will give them a bash!

Thank you one and all, do you want me to report back or what

OP posts:
traceybath · 06/04/2010 21:16

I am paleish/blonde and find the orgasm blusher just gives a lovely subtle glow.

Blusher seems to become more necessary the older I get.

Really want to go and spend lots in space nk now but must remember I didn't win £250 of vouchers

hf128219 · 06/04/2010 21:17

You lucky, lucky girl!

purplepeony · 06/04/2010 22:20

REN- rose shower gel and maybe the scrub- great.

REN frankinsence cream- brilliant.

nowwhatdoido · 06/04/2010 22:36

I second the Keihl's Abbysine stuff, it is a really great moisturiser. I keep trying other stuff, but keep on coming back to it, and think I'm finally realising I'm unlikely to find anything I like better. I use the lotion, in a pump bottle, rather than the cream.

What's the by Terry foundation like on oily skin, do you reckon? Most foundations just slide of my face.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 06/04/2010 23:48

Shu Uemura cleansing oil is fab, better than Eve Lom. Chantecaille tinted moisturiser is very good for pale skin and I love their Bio-Lift Concealer -- expensive but fantastic for fine lines around the eye.
Orgasm blush doesn't suit me at all recommend Chantecaille Winter Bloom but I like the Nars bronzer.
