After the style morass that is pregnancy, I am now starting to dream of going out and purchase loads. But what shall I buy?

Imagine, very little clothes purchasing over the last six months
Living in black leggings, boots and DH's winter coat, I am desperate to get into some fab clothes
Will be going into town after Easter hols once the two eldest are back at school, but I am chomping at the bit now to start purchasing perhaps on line
So I am short, 5"3, slim but large of bust particularly since BFing
I reckon some maxidressage
I have these toast sandals
Was thinking some low clogs to clomp around in
What trousers do i get, thinking leisure trousers, drapey material, tapered leg
cropped m+S tapered haremy?
m+s longer length
My colouring can't do nudes, but was thinking shirt dresses, imagine they are everywhere though
satchels , my goodness what colour to choose

So now you know what I'm thinking of purchasing in an orgy of consumerism, what would you buy if you were in my position????

you must be v v tall and thin to be looking at those clothes

loving the dress and the satchel

harem pants look scary.

sandals good

Lulumaam · 06/04/2010 16:48

ah, yo're not tall!

DarrellRivers · 06/04/2010 16:50

Yes I love the satchel, will purchase that, will double as baby bag,
And the T-shirt dress, I think
Both purchases no pressure to fit into
Am scared by trousers frankly, but suppose can always wear leggings/jeggings as default if all else fails
Although, we need some balmy warm weather, daffodils/Easter gone to my head

www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Accessories/Bags/AM124/Womens-Statement-Satchel.html

also seen tehy do a soft messenger bag now too

traceybath · 06/04/2010 16:55

I ordered the tank version of that maxi and it was very shapeless - but I'm only 5ft but do have big bf boobs and slim elsewhere.

Not sure about harems - I want to like them but just not sure - I actually bought a pair and returned them. But think they would work with your toast sandals.

I want a dull metallic bag for summer - have you considered that?

SuSylvester · 06/04/2010 16:56

i hate maxi dresses
i always think the owners have wooden legs or summat

Lulumaam · 06/04/2010 16:58

that's good to hear.. have you chosen a name/ you don't have to say

who won the sweepstake?

traceybath · 06/04/2010 16:58

Now that surprises me Su - I'd have thought a maxi dress would really suit you.

DarrellRivers · 06/04/2010 17:03

I usually trip over my hems [clumsy]
I'll order it and see, but yes, don't want to be swamped, probably best to go for the 6 then
LM-Lionstar said 40 weeks, you said 40+3, she was born at 40 weeks
They tricked me into no epidural

i was close then, my super powers have not deserted me

am similar height to you but a bit on the heftier side, i find a maxi dress exceptionally flattering esp with a long necklace and shrug type cardi thing

DarrellRivers · 06/04/2010 17:23

Yes to your superpowers
At times during pushing when I didn't really know what else to do i was thinking about the darn flower in hope it would have some magical talisman-like actions

DarrellRivers · 06/04/2010 17:28
