I have a cupboard full of breton tops, Armor Lux are the nicest, you can often find them on ebay.

Am pretty sure its last season french connection as I have it - sort of slash/boat neckline.

Can't see it on their site now though.

so sorry tethersend - making tea. I do like both but would prefer envelope I think.
also the weight of fabric is quite important not too light - not too heavy or too stiff.

Not seen the Dahl one, but have got one from Kookai with an envelope neck. It's not online, but is cream, with navy stripe. It's quite thick fabric, and a loose fit, with vents at the side. Not baggy exactly, but certainly not body-con.

I have got a navy/cream stripe one from French Connection very recently, sure they also had a cream/navy stripe too. It has a envelope neck, and is not flimsy, stiff or too tight etc, mine's getting lots of wear.

Will definitely have a look in kookai - and FC one is sounding V promising - thanks patsy that one sounds like it has all the necessary components!
