I think mine are red and (darkish) blue

grey and green

tulpe · 31/03/2010 23:28

Muddleduck - no, doesn't defeat object because I know what suits me so buy stuff that will last for several summer seasons- therefore last years' magenta & navy will still be good for this year. I have pulled my summer wardrobe out of storage and replaced items which appear worn (generally vests and tees). This means that last years' wardrobe still works.

However, to extend wardrobe so not always wearing same colours (and therefore getting bored with my clothes), this year I have gone for another colourway.

Perhaps I spend too much money on clothes.........

muddleduck · 01/04/2010 09:30

So do you have to make sure that this years colours go with last years colours - sounds a bit complicated to me

Are there any colours you don't have anything in? (everyone, I mean, not tulpe!)

I don't have anything in navy (except for jeans), purple, orange or until recently yellow (I bought a yellow and white long checked top).

Everything I have that isn't neutral is dusty or dark pink/red/green (leaf to sage/olive) and some blue.

I would like to get some orange, though - dark red and orange is one of my favourite colour combos, but has yet to translate into clothes (only my wedding flowers!)

DrivenToDistraction · 01/04/2010 11:59

If I could swap the white/cream for gray then it's be brown and dark blue denim.

Otherwise gray and dark blue denim.

ToccataAndFudge · 01/04/2010 12:00

I like chocolate

MayorNaze · 01/04/2010 12:00

lucykate · 01/04/2010 12:03

muddleduck · 01/04/2010 12:03

Mmm. I have no yellow, blue (apart from jeans), red (well one skirt but I've never worn it and never will), purple/lilac (although I like it), pink, green, white or cream.

Sounds like a really interesting and inspiring wardrobe hey?

DrivenToDistraction · 01/04/2010 12:07

Also no gold or silver, thanks for the prompt

PandaG · 01/04/2010 12:07

pink and purple

would want denim too though

PavlovtheCat · 01/04/2010 12:09

green (not bright, olive or somesuch), burnt orange.

muddleduck · 01/04/2010 12:13

DtoD - red is one of my colours... can I have your skirt?

I am torn between red and navy blue and purple and pink. Darker pink like I am wearing at the moment not pale - pale colours don't really suit me.

Couldn't mix it up as pink and red not very easy to combine, nor purple and navy, nor really red and purple. Navy and pink OK though.

I have most colours in my wardrobe except grey or black tops. I am too pale and look like death in either of those if they are too close to my face.

DomesticG0ddess · 01/04/2010 12:27

Amazed more people are not choosing black - you must all have v thin legs and flat tummies!!

I would choose black and a striking deep blue.

DomesticG0ddess · 01/04/2010 12:28

Oh, and I have clothes in every colour... and nothing that goes together

DecorHate · 01/04/2010 12:33

You are allowed black and white as well DG....

I would try to sneakily swop grey for white and then choose teal & green

DecorHate · 01/04/2010 12:34

And as far as I can remember I don't have anything in pink, yellow or orange.

salbysea · 01/04/2010 12:38

red and brown
and if I could I would swap white for grey, I only wear white if its polka dots on red!

DrivenToDistraction · 01/04/2010 12:40

DomesticG0ddess - it's two colours in addition to black and white/cream. That's why!

muddleduck · 01/04/2010 12:55

and no sneaky swapping DecorHate

TragicallyHip · 01/04/2010 14:02

Only 2?

Ok then Green and Grey

DomesticG0ddess · 01/04/2010 14:05

oh, I thought it meant I was allowed to choose black or white/cream. Well then, I will still go for the blue, and probably a nice light brown.

TulipsInTheRain · 01/04/2010 14:07

grey and teal
