She's a Hollister/A&K type
Something cool and pretty that is going to last a while. What do 18yo like?

What about a charm bracelet? Links of London do a range of lovely ones. Or anything from Tiffany? Depends on your budget really...

Purse or Handbag

denim jacket

Depends on you budget. I got my god-daughter a very small and simple necklace for her 18th. BUT it was from Tiffany, so she loved it. Cost £80 IIRC. It was from my and my Dsis though, so we split the cost.

A really fabulous set of make-up brushes? Can last for years if looked after and be a fab investment - especially if she has a professional makeover from MAC like ggirl suggests to show her how to use them properly.

Why not challenge her taste a bit with a vintage python clutch bag from eBay? She'll grow with it!

A lovely keepsake that she could fill in with family/friends

Something different, something that she can take through life with her. Thinking of getting one for my DD.

Have just got my niece this for her 18th and some nice skin care stuff to go in it.

Have a look at Anna Lou of London jewellery - my sister and her friends all love it.

dd got a silver locket from someone for her 18th,she loves it and wears everyday

Thank you all. Some great suggestions. I'll have a browse around.

LOL at python clutch bag - I had a look on ebay, some scary-looking pieces. This one has been packed away for decades - I can't imagine why !
