AIBU to buy a pair of maggie Christian Louboutin pumps from ebay?

navyeyelasH · 27/03/2010 14:33

I'm expecting them to go for around £300 - AIBU to buy them and then relist them as soon as I have worn them?

I'm worried they might be fakes but if they are I would just get my money back right? The seller is a UK seller with good ish (95% - 4 negs for non delivery) feedback. I'm an experienced ebayer with well over 500 (100%) feedback.

DP is having none of it, but it's a certainty they would resell right? So long as they don' get trashed somehow during the one occasion (wedding) I wear them.

So AIBU to want to do this?

YABU crikey, unless this is some fabulous wedding that is going to appear in OK!, then £300 for pumps which will halve in value the moment you step outside in them is a bit much!

My judgement might change if I can see a picture of them

SheWillBeLoved · 27/03/2010 15:04

Nevermind, just Googled them Yep, YABU

BoysAreLikeDogs · 27/03/2010 15:04

yikes NEL

come to the new outlet village in gloucester docks and get some lk bennets for much less

TrillianAstra · 27/03/2010 15:19

Depends - could you afford it if they got red wine spilled all over them?

notapizzaeater · 27/03/2010 15:31

Couldn't you buy them cheaper here www.christianlouboutinmall.com/christian-louboutin-shoes-pumps-c-72_5/christian-louboutin-maggie-140 -pumps-p-4390

BelleDameSansMerci · 27/03/2010 15:36

I've had some really bad experiences with "designer" items on ebay... So many fakes.

mejon · 27/03/2010 16:15

Shows how much I know - I thought you were talking about daps or flat ballet-pump stylee ones!

navyeyelasH · 27/03/2010 16:17

God you're such a bunch of spoli sports shewillbeloved you have to make sure you get the right colours on your google sarch, I love them so much, here they are.

BALD have you seen these shoes, they are amazing. LK Bennett can't touch them!

They go so perfectly with the dress, I have to have them. Trillian If red wine got spilt on them I would cry but I could afford them.

I'm happy to lose about £80 on them when I resell.

Notapizzaeater (why ever not btw) what is this website? Is it too good to be true, they are fakes right?

BelleDame that's my main concern, can't you just get your money back via payal if they are fake?

They are totally lush. What size are you?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 27/03/2010 16:25

Sorry but can't you get them from that site you linked to? £96 is a bargain compared to £300 (although still a lot of money).

SuSylvester · 27/03/2010 16:26

they are tranny shoes

BoysAreLikeDogs · 27/03/2010 16:28

go on then, knock em dead. you are in good company

navyeyelasH · 27/03/2010 16:34

Ilove gregoryhouse I'm not sure that site is genuine? It was just the first one I found when I typed the colour into google. I'm a size 5 on one foot and 5.5 on the other, so I don't even know if they will fit. I'm the sort of person who would make them fit though!

susylvester I think of 'tranny' shoes more like these.

I don't think I've ever been more in love with a pair of shoes and I'm a shoe whore. I'm guessing DP saying I shouldn't do it is having a part to play in my lusting.

BALD I'm getting a dress like the one here. Take note of the shoes .

Having seen them I know nothing else will wow me as much

OOH navy eyelash, it was you who I linked that make up tutorial too and you bought the make up? Did you get it? What was it like?

pagwatch · 27/03/2010 16:39

If they are the real thing you should be aware thatthe soles will scuff quickly.
Even from the first wearing I had scratches on the soles . It will of course reduce the amount you can get back as they won't look new.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 27/03/2010 16:40

hubba hubba NEL

navyeyelasH · 27/03/2010 17:02

cyb yes it was me; you mean that pixi illuminating stuff right?

I did do a reply on my original thread for you but just looked and it's not there! I did it from my phone so that might explain it. But anyway it's amazing! The coverage is excellent and you can sort of layer it for evening wear, it's so light, I love it. I just ordered some of that Beaute stuff too in the flouron colour can't wait for that to come!

pagwatch thanks for the tip, I wouldn't list them as new but as worn once. Do they scuff so badly that they would look really worn? I wonder why they scuff so much?! When they arrive is there anyway to tell if they are genuine? I wouldn't want to relist them as genuine unless I could be certain IYSWIM?

BALD I wont look like that one bit! but a girl can dream and I love the colour so to hell with the actually looking good part, I will feel good .

Could always put some sticky back plastic on the soles and remove later ???

navyeyelasH · 27/03/2010 17:13

That's genius notapizzaeater!

I think that even if you can afford to, spending three hundred pounds on a pair of shoes makes you sound like a vapid ninny, sorry. I'm sure you're lovely, but really- get some perspective!

navyeyelasH · 27/03/2010 18:03

copperjar I'm not really sure why you'd associate contemplating spending £300 on a pair of shoes with someone having no perspective. You don't know anything about me so I think your post is a little misguided.

But hey-ho, each to their own!
