Summer hair.

I'm bored of my dark brown frizz-for-hair.

I want to lighten up for summer.

Do I lighten all over or highlight?

I used "Sun-in" when I was 17, many moons ago, so practically a colour virgin.

My hair is very fine and thinning. Would there be any gentler/less harsh brands I should use?

Any advice much welcomed and appreciated!

If you are dark brown and fine/thinning, I'd go to a hairdresser for highlights, rather than diy.

Ooh your hair sounds quite tricky, I would get a consultation at a hairdresser's then work out a savings/Ebaying plan to pay for upkeep. I pay £80 every 3months but the cut and colour is so good the regrowth isn't a problem.
