What do the cool mums wear?

I'm feeling dowdy, help me!
Please talk to me about shoes, coats, handbags, jeans, colours......... I need a complete makeover!

Not sure if I am "cool" or not

But, I mostly wear:

skinny/straight jeans (dark indigo usually but just bought some red ones for the spring).
leggings
tea dresses
tunic dresses & tops
bright cardigans
loose vest tops layered over long sleeve tees
merino knitwear layered over camis or long sleeve tees

Most days I wear a scarf - I have an entire draw full - mostly very cheap. Have loads of pendants, necklaces, beads, bracelets & rings to go with everything. Try H&M, Primark, Miss Selfridge & Top Shop for cheapy accessories.

Footwear: ballet pumps, converse, heeled mary-janes, biker boots, flat brown boots, heeled ankle boots, Uggs.

I went through a bit of an identity crisis last year so I began to make a scrap book of all the looks I loved from magazines, catalogues etc. Not only did it give me a clearer idea of what I would like to wear, it also made me realise that I didn't actually need to buy much new stuff at all - it was all sitting there, just not being utilised in the right way
