What is the etiquette if you like the salon but not the stylist?

I have been going to the same salon for a while and my old stylist left. I have had the same girl for the last couple of times and I don't like how she cuts my hair, and also, she pulls my hair and scratches me with her nails!

The thing is they do my colour really well (different woman does this). Can I ask for a different stylist without hurting the girl's feelings or do I now have to find a new salon?

Just book with some-one different
Don't bother explaining
You're paying

Does the sylist you don't like having your hair cut by have a certain day off each week? If so, can you make an appointment for that day a few times so that someone else becomes your regular stylist?

What DR said but I would mention the hair pulling and scratching.

The salon would be happier to still have your business than not, so don't explain, just book someone else.

I don't know the names of any of the other ones, otherwise I would be ablt to phone and ask for someone else and I wouldn't have to go 'not her please'. She's a nice girl. (I'm just pathetic aren't I?)

No you're quite right - I'm paying.

Fab - she didn't draw blood or anything. It was just a wee bit uncomfortable at times.

There is a (horribly bigoted) stylist at my hairdresser and when I call I just say "anyone but Derek". They just accept it, and tbh I couldn't give a damn if he knows it - his views are abhorrent.

Cant you ask the girl who colours your hair if she can suggest anyone else? you need a new name BTW, I'm sure your not a besom

just say you preferred your first stylist and while no 2 is very nice, you would like to try someone else

Still not good enough Besom.
