In relation to tracksuit jogging trousers. I am looking at a pair to buy online, the items look identical but one is closed hem and other open hem. I've looked and looked on the internet but can't find an explanation of the difference? Anyone?

Hemmed or unfinished edge?

I suspect that the closed hem is where the fabric is folded over & hemed in the normal way. Open hem is probably where the fabric is just overlocked but not folded over

In sports pants it means the ankle part isn't gathered or elasticated
