To match or not to match

I've got a ball to go to in a couple of weeks, got a nice frock and lovely shoes and am going to paint my nails.

Now, do I paint my fingers and toes same colour, toning colours or keep one French manicured and other one with colour?

What is the styllish thing to do? I own every colour known to man by the way...

Have to match IMO

I think it depends on the shoes. If they're a really stunning pair of shoes then don't detract attention or commit foot overkill by using a coloured polish.

Personally I can't stand colour on finger nails, so I'd keep them either clear or french and then toes to match/tone with dress/shoes

Hmm... shoes are strappy silver. Dress is black. I've got short nails at the minute which will make French tricky.

Was going to go with the Essie version of Chanel beige but think would be too neutral, especially as don't have a tan. I think problem is I have too much choice!!!
