Maternity wear for us ladies at 5ft!

I'm only 5ft and find it very difficult to buy clothes at the best of times - now I'm 3 months pregnant it's even worse.
I've got a tiny frame but have biggish boobs and bum - believe me when I say nothing fits. If I buy sizes too large the proportions are all wrong and I look swamped.

I've tried most if not all petite/maternity ranges in the high street and some more upmarket shops too - but they're all a joke (when will petite ranges ever start actually being for petite/short ladies?!). I'm looking for a whole new wardrobe inc smartish work clothes, skinny jeans, tops etc..... help!

It's beginning to get me down so any help will be very, very gratefully received.

awww!! i am five 2 so not much taller than you, i too had a nightmare with maternity clothes. i was quite small when i was pregnant, didnt go into maternity clothes till about 30 weeks so luckily i wasnt in them for long!! then i used to live in non maternity long stretchy vests from topshop teamed with either leggings or maternity jeans, i had two pairs of dark skinny maternity jeans from dorothy perkins, dont know if u have tried there or not?

hope to have helped!! (but probably havent lol )

Thanks a million for that - yes you did help - it's good to know I'm not the only one having a 'mare! Felt like a freaky frump at the shops earlier
Will certainly give the leggings/long vests a go - and I guess I can 'smart' them up for work with heels and jewellery!

I'm also 5ft and got irritated with the lack of options. Until a friend suggested as little maternity wear as poss, i.e. keep work jackets open and wear my usual ones and then for the stuff I needed to have maternity like jeans etc then have them altered. I ended up with a lot of things I could re use and stuff that fitted. Hope that helps.

I found New Look fit me and I'm only 5ft. Other than that I think Next were ok.

Most of my other trousers were taken up.

I am 5ft 1 and managed to get some trousers from Next. Only one style though was ok length-wise, everything else swamped me. Dorothy Perkins were massively long!

That's why I went for skirts/dresses (which you might actually find you prefer as you'll be pg through the summer)
