Fake tan - guide me, i'm a TOTAL novice! Which is the best (and cheapest) one to go for?

I like the Dove summer skin moisturiser, you build it up layer by layer, so its difficult to go orange and streaky. I find, anyway. Johnson's similar one is also good.

It lasts a few days - depending on how vigorously you shower - and I think its really good.

it's the preperation you do before you put it on that helps, if you have dry legs it will go patchy and orange, you need to put baby oli in your bath every day, or if you shower, when in there rub it on in the running water, then towel dry as usual. If you see darker patches when you have it on, get one of those basket type material pads and wet it and rub in a circular motion the darker bits, till it starts fading, will take few days to fade lighter and it is also fixing that dry area for later sprays. It's the front shin area that can be a bit tricky, If you don't care what hubby thinks buy a few pairs of long socks and put petroleum jelly on three times a week.

Best but not cheapest is st tropez everyday - not found anything that comes close and I am a veteran of the orange stripy variety

StTropez is the best by far.

Preparation is the key.

scrub with a mitt/nail brush even... heels, ankles, knees. Apply body lotion to ankles, knees, feet. Apply StTrop to legs in a side to side motion, then up and down, blend, blend. Skim over ankles, knees feet.

Take kitchen towel or bog roll. Wipe over Achilles tendon, under ankle bones, across toes and under knees and behind knees.

Wash hands, twice at least.
