Don't buy shoes from this website!

I was stupid enough to buy some ''Ugg'' boots from Vogue shoes website.
Except they aren't real Uggs. They are suede but with a synthetic lining instead of a sheepskin one. They are made in China and have blatantly been shipped from there!
They weren't even sent to me in a proper shoe box - not even a fake Ugg box!
I payed £44 so I guess I should have known they were dodgy but on the website there are pics of real Uggs.
Can I get my money back?
Their retiurns policy is that you write them an e-mail first.

Here's the link;
Well what do you know-the website isn't working!

Will get back to you on this one!

I'm sorry but why on earth did you think you could buy real Uggs for £44?? Almost 75% off orginial price??

If something looks too good to be true...

poshsinglemum · 17/03/2010 20:18

I know. However, it was worth a try and you can get them quite cheap. I think that Debanhams had some for £30 in their sale but by the time I found out they had all sold out.
The website looked very professional.
I might keep them as they are not a disastour but not real sheepskin which is what I wanted.

Where can I find reliable sources of discount sheepskin boots?

Agree with the other posters & doubt the Debenham ones were Uggs for £30. Anyway, there was a thread on here around Christmas and someone linked to a whole source of Ugg information. Do an advanced search and you'll find it.

If you can send them back and get real sheepskin ones I would. Emus are cheaper but as good as my Uggs (have both)

They're ugly. Don't buy them at all.

The dd's have some pink ones because my sister bought them for them in the US, and they're like Croc wellie boots: only cute on little girls.

HellBent · 17/03/2010 20:39

Lol expat you said that exact line when posh asked if uggs were hideously overpriced in another thread and most people said no, just hideous!

HellBent · 17/03/2010 20:42

I linked to some sale priced genuine UGGS in topshop and I think someone else linked to emu's (around £50)and bear paw's (around £35) so I don't understand why you took a chance with an unknown site?

expatinscotland · 17/03/2010 20:48

The girls look so cute in theirs. Auntie will buy them another pair for next winter, because you know what they say about a fool and his money . . . .

Monadami · 17/03/2010 20:53

I bet they're really comfy, but with my size 8 feet, I fear I will look like a Yeti!
