Designer purses/wallets - MN style queens, advise me!

If you could have a purse by any designer which would you recommend? My purse is dead and I'm looking now so I can drop hints for my birthday.

Criteria:
practical - enough space for cards and cash
preferably classy and discreet, not obvious
not too huge!
Ideally French, Italian or Brit designer but not essential

I have just bought a beautiful Orla Kiely caraway bag with matching purse in latte colour with red handles, I dropped big hints ! The purse is just the right size and the bag is lovely. I bought it from www.itsdarling.com, they have this seasons bags. They are very classy and people always tell me its lovely . Happy bag shopping ! x
