I am 42 and need a good haircut..

I used to be complimented on my hair a lot. It is intrinsically 'rubbish' hair - natural blonde though mostly bottle now

It is shoulder length and dry as a bone through too much bleach and styling.

Thinking of cropping it all off - but scared as I suit it tied back....

Argghhh going round in circles ...

Was wondering something along these lines

Leeds seems to be full of very short hair but dare I?

I am 39 and have recently gone for shorter hair, like your link but the pic with spotty scarf adn shades, have felt younger and had loads of compliments, so I woudl recommend it

Not sure if I'm stylish, and obviously I don't know what you look like, but the top 2 styles (the blue top & the sunglasses/spotty scarf) are really nice.

hmm yes - However Katie Holmes is about 20 years younger than me and I have seen another pic of her looking a bit washed out with very short hair ....

I am too pale i think for that although my hair dresser always wants me to go very very short....

if you suit it tied back you will probaby suit it short too, I went short because of that - I was just tying it back all the time

I am back - complete with bright blonde quite blunt cut bob...

Not convinced yet but my stagnant dull long hair is now bright and swishy at leat which if I had gone more choppy - might have compromised the healthy look!

Next time i might be braver - but still had a good 4" off
