Dry skin and SPF day cream

I've got really dry skin everywhere and am struggling to find a decent face moisturiser with SPF that is rich enough and doesn't leave me with dry patches. I actually find that Nivea, or even aqueous cream work fine for the dryness but they don't contain any SPF. I'm pale and freckly btw.

So...can anyone recommend a richer day cream with SPF OR reassure me that using the other creams is fine because I always use a tinted moisturiser or foundation with SPF anyway?

As an aside, what does everyone do on really hot days when you would reapply suncream to the rest of your body? Slap it on your face over makeup? Not wear makeup? I have some of that 'once a day' stuff for the kids, suppose I could use that on my face?

I like morrisons own brand daily face cream. It smells of old ladies but it is nice and rich and is spf15.

Thank you trice. There's no Morrisons nearby but my parents shop there I think, what colour is the tub/bottle? I'll maybe ask them to get me some to try.

Try Superdrug's Vitamin E cream. SPF 15 and light coconut smell which soon disappears. Only costs about £2. They also do a night cream in the same range. My daughter swears it's improved her dryness. Good luck.

Its purple BP. Costs about a fiver. The superdrug one is nice too.

Thanks - will probably up trying both! I like budget friendly options

There is a good oil of Olay one which has spf 15. Its in a pump action tub, think its normally £20 but often reduced to £15. Lasts for months.

the Supoerdrug 'Natutral High' day cream is nice and rich and spf 15 (have just bought some myself) and is half price at about £2 atm
