short version - went away for posh weekend do and managed to forget crucial bag with shoes, makeup, toiletries and straighteners in

emergency shopping (and today a lot of returning ) later....

i now heart:

bourjois - teeny lovely lipgloss that is now attached to my keys
also teeny lovely blusher..sooo cute and perfect colour

body shop satsuma perfume oil

accessorize - hurrah for sparkly pumps

i also highly commend rimmel ivory concealor - mixed with moisturiser is actually a passable emergency substitute for bobby brown pale sallow persons foundation

i hate:

tesco heels - transformed me from sophisticated socialite into cheap hooker

rimmel crappy lipgloss - felt and tasted like someone had chewed a packet of hubba bubba and then dribbled in the tube and had a weird spatula applicator have donated it to dd1 for her play makeup collection.

collection 2000 sparkly black liquid eyelner i put it on, it dried - and peeled off grrrrrr

so let this be a lesson to you ladies, ALWAYS CHECK YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY FECKING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

so true - know of someone who's husband was left to pack the car for weekend away at glam wedding.

got to the hotel to change only to discover that her outfit was still draped over armchair in their living room.

mad dash to the local town centre for an outfit that fortunately turned out to be gorgeous on her (better than outfit A).

moral of story - not only check you have everything but pack it into the car YOURSELF!

nope. none...
:P

i once forgot a nappy bag. but would never forget makeup and hair stuff if going for posh do.

I once did this with my entire make up and toiletry collection which I forgot on a two week holiday to Cornwall. We were staying in a little village with not many shops. I bought Nivea cream (the one in the blue pot) and realised although cheap as chips is a bloody marvellous moisturiser.

thank you

sparkly pumps are most excellent and wouldn't have them without aforementioned cockup so not all bad.

need to add that babyliss curling stick thing to the shit list - made me look like rocky horror show reject AND burnt my head
