Hi!
My Dh has just finished the third issue of his Retro inspired online magazine - he's working hard on it and he'd really value your views.
He really appreciated your thoughts and ideas on issue two - and made a number of changes as a result - including adding in an interiors section.
Hope you find time for a cuppa and a browse through it

Retro Magazine Issue 3

Thanks in advance

Really easy to navigate- liked that when I clicked on the small version it enlarged (easy to do 1 handed!)

As for the featured shop- great idea but I'd try to include shops with an online presence so that ppl who don't live in the area can shop there IYSWIM

Liked the street style cameo and home section- perhaps the things priced in dollars can be converted in the approx stirling as it may give the impression- not available in the UK

All in all I really liked it

Oooooh - I ike it... kooky, human, fun and so British!!!

I like the street style bit because people are dressed in interesting ways...

And actually I now sooooooo want that retro telly...

teafortwo · 15/03/2010 08:44

oooops - just reads op properly!!!

Having said that I am neither a style guru or magazine fan but I do LOVE and respect new creation and the magazine looks v creative... congrats!!!

Really like it from a first look, though haven't read all through the articles yet. You're justly right to be Proud! One teeny criticism is that some of the images are a bit blurry, like the sofa on p20 and the property photos, it gave a slightly amateurish look. BUT, I enjoyed the content and was pleased with myself for recognising Brighton's North Laines!

Evening all - even if you are not sure if you are a style guru... we'd love any feedback (good, bad, even ugly)
Cheers

Hi Bunjies, Clayphs, TeaforTwo amd MrsVidic, Thank you for taking the time to have a flick through. It is a labour of love at the moment - one day he hopes to make it more than a passion.
Cheers again.

You're welcome. I hope he makes a success if it. Is the plan to turn it into a subscription only magazine or will it be funded by advertising?

ProudasPunch · 16/03/2010 18:25

I think the plan is to attract advertisers - seems paid for subscription is a long way off... and perhaps the industry is going the free route anyway (eg Shortlist, Metro etc) (he's offering it free on his site for 12months for starters). What they really need a an entrepreneurial ad sales person - but they are hard (impossible) to find.
