Maybelline dream satin liquid foundation

I've tried a lot of foundations recently, I even splashed out on some really expensive Creme de la Mer stuff. Most recent purchase was Maybelline Dream Satin liquid, £5.99 at the moment in Boots, and it's really marvellous stuff. I was told I looked great today, natural and glowing ( woo! ).

I was just wondering if anyone knows how it compares to Chanel Vitalumier? Both are supposed to give a satin finish, and as I'm so impressed with the Maybelline, is it worth trying the Chanel? Or shall I just stick with the cheap stuff?

I too bought a Maybelline foundation recently - the dream creamy foundation. I thought it looked great until one day was at duty free and looked in the mirror and looked completely washed out!

Had been wanting to try the Chanel Vitalumier foundation so tried some of that at duty free and duly bought some! Am completely impressed by the Chanel one - makes me look human in the morning, gives a lovely satiny finish and good coverage. Even bought the compact as well to use as a powder and for 'repair's during the day...!!
